Rich Korach discovered underground electronic music in 1994, finally encountering the sound that would transform the rest of his life. Growing up just north of Detroit, Rich witnessed performances from some of the early pioneers of techno. Shortly after immersing himself in the underground warehouse scene in Detroit, he became an active DJ himself. The next decade included such highlights as: being a resident DJ for Detroit�s legendary production company, Paxahau, playing gigs at: the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (2005 and 2008), Space � Ibiza, Weekend Club � Berlin, and all across the U.S. Rich even had an impromptu tag session with one of his musical heroes of the time, Richie Hawtin, in 2005.

In late 2008, Rich moved to San Francisco to thwart the cold and live in one of the most diverse and beautiful cities in America. Since then, his performances in the Bay Area underground have caused quite the stir, resulting in a residency with promotions powerhouse As You Like It (AYLI) and a steadily increasing demand for performances. In 2011 he played alongside a wealth of artists, including Tiger and Woods, Deniz Kurtel, Iron Curtis, Matthias Tanzmann, Benoit & Sergio, Dave Aju, Mike Huckaby, Nicolas Jaar, and Lee Curtiss. To say Rich Korach�s sound is an instant classic is understood to those who�ve become converts to his shows. His is an insatiable appetite for the unexpected, which makes watching his next move upward and onward such a joy.

Mossmoss (aka Mattie Bowen) is a Scottish born dj and producer with an intense passion for deep dance music. His love for music and desire to live a joyful and productive life fuels his passion for art and creativity. An artist by nature and a listener by choice, his wandering sets often paint landscapes of light and dark patterns, textures, and melancholy melody. Heavily influenced by a long stint in the Mid West in proximity to Detroit and Chicago, he brings that influence to the Bay Area and draws on The City and its colorful nightlife for constant immersive inspiration.

Mossmoss was the first As You Like It resident. His range can be credited with the shape of most line-ups. You can catch him opening the night, closing the night, peak-hour, and off-peak. Basically, Mossmoss makes it happen.

Nicknamed "Briski" by his father (pronounced Bri-skee), Brian Bejarano worked beyond a casual encounter with sound in Dallas, England, and San Francisco, taking a deep dive into the dark pool of music to feed the emotional, soulful and spastic sides of his adult nature. His young journeys drew him to throw and attend undergrounds and house parties; to buy and listen to psychedelic rock jams and Wicked tracks (beginning with Jeno, Garth, Thomas, Markie and Doc Martin; all bearing an indelible imprint on him); to scoop old-school tapes of '90s mixes that hoisted the shimmy at his smaller shindigs as he rounded out his sound.

But Bejarano�s desires propelled him headlong into every aspect of the business: DJing, producing and promoting. As a DJ, he established a residency at Dallas�s Velvet Hookah, was a part of his own re:body project that threw shimmery and artful disco parties all over San Francisco, and finally became a resident of West Coast collective, As You Like It. In the promotion sphere, he promoted and played an assortment of disco and house parties in Dallas that included guests like Doc Martin and Egyptian Lover. He also rocked sensational SF parties including Art Department and Linkwood at the now defunct wilderness-preserve-turned-sound-hive, the Compound, to fill the void of genres being spotlighted by the venue at the time.

Fast-forward to 2011�s tail end/2012�s cusp, his focus shifted more to sound development, production and travel (in both North America and abroad). The young rebel-turned-analyst had nurtured his reckless anima into a captivating concentration of musical mandates, resulting in awesome creative tangents previously unimagined.

Tyrel has been a mainstay of Chicago�s underground House scene for years. He began mixing records in 1999. Soon later he landed a job at Gramaphone Records where he spent the last decade building a mighty collection of 12� dance records. He spent 2009-2011 building his Acid Test residency at Smart Bar, which is an ongoing all vinyl House / Techno weekly dedicated to the true art form of DJing. Guests have included Miles Maeda, IZ and DIZ, Derrick Carter, Tevo Howard, Traxx, and Justin Long. Tyrel has recently moved to San Francisco to take his DJing and producing to the next level.

The world-renowned Ti�sto will be returning to Electric Zoo Festival again in 2012, with the headliner spot on Sunday, September 2nd.

Tiesto recently told MTV News: "It is an awesome festival in one of the most incredible settings in the world. How often do you get to play with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop? It is a special experience, being in the middle of a city with such a huge, energetic crowd. If you'd told me this would be possible 10 years ago, I wouldn't have believed you."

His closing peformance the first day of Electric Zoo 2011 was an epic occasion, see the footage by watching Ti�sto's all-access YouTube series (footage starts at 6:13). Said Ti�sto after his set, �Electric Zoo was sick! The crowd was unbelievable and brought an incredible energy to the city.�

There is plenty to promise that 2012's performance will be even better. Ti�sto recently released the track �We Own The Night� with Wolfgang Gartner, an internationally renowned DJ/producer in his own right, who will be also playing at Electric Zoo this year (on Saturday, September 1st). Says Ti�sto of his collaborator, �I've been a huge fan of Wolfgang for years. As a producer, there are few out there with the kind of talent he has, so teaming up was always something I was very keen to make happen."

Made Event is proud to announce the Phase 2 lineup for Electric Zoo 2012, adding more artists to the three-day festival headlined by David Guetta on Friday, Axwell on Saturday and Ti�sto on Sunday. Electric Zoo: New York�s Electronic Music Festival takes place over Labor Day Weekend on August 31, September 1 and September 2 at Randall's Island Park, NYC. With the world�s best electronic DJs and live acts gathering once again to play the freshest beats and hottest summer jams, Electric Zoo continues to be New York�s music event of the year.

"[Electric Zoo] is an awesome festival in one of the most incredible settings in the world," Ti�sto recently told MTV. "How often do you get to play with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop? It is a special experience, being in the middle of a city with such a huge, energetic crowd. If you'd told me this would be possible 10 years ago, I wouldn't have believed you."

This year�s Electric Zoo also features Above & Beyond�s Group Therapy Hilltop Arena, the Riverside Fool�s Gold Clubhouse, and Sunday School Grove Vagabundos takeover on Friday, while Dim Mak hosts the Riverside stage on Saturday.

"This year, I have my own curated Dim Mak stage at Electric Zoo," Steve Aoki says. "This is important because EZ represents the New York dance scene and community and it is one of the best communities in America. I'm extremely excited about this. Maya Jane Coles, one of the great rising powers in house music, will be joining the Electric Zoo Festival for the first time this year. She will be playing at the Sunday School Grove on Saturday, September 1.

Called �the one to watch� by DJ Mag, Maya has experienced a meteoric rise to the top since her new-classic anthem �What They Say� broke during the fall of 2010, followed by the EPs Humming Bird, Focus Now and Beat Faster. 2011 accordingly saw numerous high achievements: she was named �Best Breakthrough DJ� by Mixmag, debuted at No. 9 in Resident Advisor�s DJ Poll, won �Best Newcomer� at the Ibiza DJ Awards, and was voted �Producer of the Year� in DJ Mag.

Recently Maya crafted the latest installment of the renowned DJ-Kicks mix series, released on !K7 Records in April. "I wanted this mix to showcase my diversity," says Coles. "I don't just do one thing and I wanted it to reflect that. Most of the mixes I've put out there so far have been house based, but I also produce stuff under the Nocturnal Sunshine moniker, which is more two-step/bass influenced stuff. This mix evolved into something that wasn't just four-to-the-floor."

The mix opens with muted synth chords and broken post-garage beats of "Loquz & Past" by Deft, gradually acquiring more rhythmic weight care of tracks like "In My Cocoon" by Bozwell, a moody throb of glassy-sounding electronics, and Coles' own "Not Listening," a driving cut built on a pounding yet melodic groove and exclusive to the mix. Another exclusive is "Meant To Be," released under her Nocturnal Sunshine guise, which marks the mix's transition to a more shuffley, two-step-influenced section. The word journey is often used to describe DJ sets, too often, perhaps - but it applies in the case, on a grand scale.

Won�t you dance with me? This is of course a rhetorical question. There are few DJs that would rather get a yes. Since the Berliner-by-choice Prosumer lasciviously whispered this line on his second record and first genuine hit (The Craze for the revered Playhouse label), he grew to be one of the most impressive producers and DJs of today. His artist name stems from Alvin Toffler�s significant science-fiction book The Third Wave, which also inspired Juan Atkins to call his music �techno� and fuses �producer� and �consumer� into one.

In reality, that�s what Prosumer does. He produces and consumes house music. Being the essence of his creative work, he deals with it in a way that is traditional, honest, up-front and most of all very personal. There are no limitations; stereotypes lose their impact and the supposedly very rigid formulary of house music, suddenly bears new entries. Of course, the base is rock-solid: Detroit, Chicago and New York are the twin cities that shaped his sound since he started playing records in the late nineties. But the Panorama Bar resident always has been one to accept ricochets from all kinds of camps, times and systems. The only rule: emotionality trumps effectiveness.

This is what makes his DJ-sets such rewarding experiences. Despite drawing from fifteen years of record shopping at Hard Wax, Prosumer is not an oblivious missionary of the absolute truth. He is an adoring DJ-at-heart who stands up for his own verity. All of that is stunningly bound in his first official mix �Panorama Bar 03� as well as continued and refined in his studio work. Whether with Murat Tepeli (deeply eternalized on their long player Serenity) orTama Sumo for Ostgut Ton, with his own releases, while remixing other artists or in front of the microphone � this Prosumer has found his own voice already.

Todd the God�, they called him. In the late 80s, Todd Terry was New York house music. Arguably he invented it, certainly he defined it.

New York position as the world�s clubbing and dance music capital was under threat in the mid-eighties. The soulful disco records that were the staple diet of the NY club scene seemed pedestrian in comparison to the other-worldly sounds coming out of Chicago and Detroit, sounds that the world outside America had needed no second invitation to take to their hearts.

Enter stage left from Brooklyn one Todd Terry, a young kid steeped in hip hop attitude, but with an ear finely attuned to the city�s other dominant urban sound, Latin... and Chicago house music. Terry�s formula was simple. He mashed the whole lot together. The sampler was the must-have gizmo for the new generation of bedroom producers, and Tee put his through its paces with missionary zeal.

1988 was a classic tale of �right time, right place� for the young producer. The soundtrack to the acid house revolution came in equal parts from Chicago, Detroit, New Jersey, and proto-UK and euro house. The undisputed king, however, was New York�s Todd Terry. His incredible 1988 output included a trio of tracks which reworked recent New York classics from different ends of the clubbing spectrum: as Todd Terry Project he updated the nouveau disco of Class Action�s �Weekend� and mashed Dinosaur L�s quirky leftfielder �Go Bang� into the sampladelic
stormer �Bango (to the Batmobile�), whilst b-boy block party favourite �The Mexican� by Babe Ruth formed the basis of Orange Lemon�s �Dreams of Santa Anna�.

Amazingly, he topped them all with a further three stone cold anthems; Jungle Brothers� mighty �I�ll House You�, Black Riot�s hypnotic �A Day in the Life� and, biggest of all, Royal House�s �Can You Party�, in many ways the defining record of the summer of 1988. Its trademark wailing sirens and dancefloor call to arms of �can you feel it!� (sampled from a live recording by the Jacksons) caused mayhem whenever it was dropped.

As the 90s kicked in, it was Strictly Rhythm that was to take full advantage of New York�s centre stage position. Todd played a key role in Strictly�s evolution. Through the early days of �90-�91, he recorded as Tech Nine, Static and The Youngbloods and dj�d regularly at Strictly parties, not just in the States but also Europe, often alongside a hot newcomer like Roger Sanchez. A few years later it was commonplace for a label to be built around a core of dj producers who represented it on the road. Strictly, with Terry to the fore, was in the vanguard of that trend.

This being Todd Terry, he couldn�t help but leave an indelible mark on Strictly Rhythm�s catalogue. By far his biggest tune for the label was �Can U Feel It� by CLS. A routine hip houser in its A side mix, the real treat lay on the B side, wherein lurked the mighty �In House Dub�, a cut that found favour with djs of almost every house sub-genre you care to mention (or indeed invent).

The mid-90s saw Terry�s rep reach new levels. His simple but brilliantly effective revamp of Everything But The Girl�s haunting �Missing� became a massive international hit, single-handedly revived the duo�s then flagging career, and made Terry the superstar remixer (Bjork, Garbage, George Michael, Jamiroquai, the Cardigans). Meanwhile, a deal with major label Mercury saw Todd working with vocalists such as Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, scoring crossover hits with �Keep On Jumpin� and �Something�s Goin� On�.

Terry�s career as producer, remixer and dj continues unabated to this day, but any analysis of Todd Terry centres around 1988 and all that. He took Chicago�s baby, gave it a New York upbringing, and sent it to finishing school in Europe.

Eddy SantanaIn a saturated World of DJ's, Artists, and Producers, EDDY SANTANA is no stranger to the Electronic Music Industry. A San Francisco Bay Area native, Eddy has emerged from the Discodelic City, as a House Music favorite! Quoted as "One of SF's best kept secrets in electronic music," Eddy has been fortunate enough to accomplish many goals in a short amount of time, from already rocking the decks at all SF elite night clubs, such as the elegant RUBY SKYE to the legendary END UP, to having a weekly mix show on North America�s ONLY full time dance radio station: Energy 92.7 / KNGY. Eddy has graced the decks with many superstar dj�s such as: Paul Van Dyke, Dj Dan, Donald Glaude, Scotty Boy, Pete Tong, Bad Boy Bill, Kaskade, Scooter & Lavelle, Richard Vission and the list goes on. In February of 07 Eddy became the official resident dj for VANITY SF (San Francisco�s LEADING After hours promotions company) and now is known as San Francisco�s OFFICAL After hours DJ and in July of 07 Eddy landed a monthly residency at the infamous Daylight After After Hours in Los Angeles. In October of 2007 Eddy was booked to play at the world famous CROBAR nightclub in Chicago. After that gig, Eddy landed a tri-monthly residency at Crobar as well as being a guest dj at other local Chicago hot spots such as Mission, Stone Lotus and Spy Bar.

After being a resident dj on Energy 92.7, Eddy was offered his own radio mix show along with 3 other radio dj's and formed "Ghetto House Radio", A 2 hour mix show dedicated to House Music lovers. Starting in San Francisco the show quickly caught word and soon became a syndicated radio mix show broadcast on 24 radio station through out California, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Scottland, and other cities throughout the nation
Eddy has many future projects lined up from producing his own tracks to producing radio shows to djing at local and out of town nightclubs and festivals. Needless to say Eddy Santana should be a name not to be forgotten

Dj Zya

Since the late nineties, Zya has been gracing the decks across the United States. Now in his mid-twenties, Zaya Khanishan has firmly cemented himself as a force to be reckoned with in the house scene. Zya saw his first success with the release of a bootleg remix of �The Way I Are�, the hit single by Timbaland. The track, co- produced with partner, Michael Badal, garnered major attention from the entire Dance and Pop scene. Their remix was supported by the likes of David Guetta, Hatiras, DJ Dan, Richard Vission, and many more. This opened the floodgates for the duo to perform much more damage in the EDM scene.

Having already been supported by Hatiras from that remix, Zya then connected with house legend Hatiras to provide his own take on his chart topping song, �Poppin� Beats�. Zya spiced up the original with his signature heavy style, which really gave the track the aggressiveness it deserved.

The success of the remixes alone soon caught the attention of Canadian label-boss responsible for the success of the now infamous Deadmau5, Mellefresh. Zya has gone on to remix two Deadmau5 tracks including �Dr. Funkenstein� and �Attention Whore�. He also had the privilege of releasing two of his own EP�s on the Play Digital imprint, �DJ Boy EP� and �Your Girls Favorite DJ EP�. The single, �Your Girls Favorite DJ�

During all of this chaos, Zya along with Michael Badal, opened up their own independent label, Jigsaw Recordings. On the label, Zya released many of his most memorable originals as well as his first mix album, �Jigsaw Puzzles�. The album featured exclusive music from the likes of Deadmau5, Myon & Shane 54, Matt Cerf, and many more. Unlike many of the other digital labels polluting the Dance scene, they were able to achieve a feat scarce in the Dance industry... physical releases. They released their singles on CD and vinyl with �Jigsaw Puzzles� being a full-fledged physical production.

In the midst of all of this, Zya�s side-collaborations with Michael Badal have lead to the signing of two singles to the Black Hole Recordings imprint. The first was their symphony inspired masterpiece, �Legato�, which was featured on Mr. Sam�s �Opus Secundo� compilation. Following the same innovative mindset, the duo got together with long-time friend, Teddy C, to create �Deltree�. This track was featured on Richard Durand�s �In Search of Sunrise 8: South Africa�, the compilation series that was originally made famous by Tiesto for the first seven volumes. The track went on to be featured in the ever-popular iPhone/iPod game, Tap Tap Revenge 3. As if that was not enough, Zya, Michael, and Teddy are on the ballot for the 54th annual Grammy awards for consideration in the Best Dance Recording category.

Zya continues to strive to be an innovator of the Dance world and constantly experiment with sound palettes that most producers would not dare. He is currently working on new singles for independent release and on his debut artist album for Play Records. This is only the beginning of what is yet to come.

Nikita

It wasn't too long ago that NIKITA ventured out from Denver, Colorado to pursue his dreams of working in the music industry. A lifelong love affair with music began as a young boy playing piano, singing and dancing� It wasn't until later in life when Nikita attended a warehouse party that would change his life forever (circa 1993) - Nikita became one of Denver's 'underground party-scene offspring'! In 2000, Nikita left Colorado for California�

In the past eight years Nikita's perseverance and pure love for quality dance music has placed him among the top DJs of San Francisco's world-famous club scene. In 2005 Nikita was chosen to host his own radio show on Northern California's Energy 92.7 FM � The Massive Mix. It was Nikita's raw talent that also landed him a residency at San Francisco's legendary nightclub, The EndUp.

Performing anywhere from 2 to 18 hours; Nikita's playfulness behind the decks takes you on a ride seamlessly blending sick minimal grooves, heavy basslines, melodic synths, and twisted beats, while still keeping it soulful and deep. Nikita has tagged with likes of Cassy, Lee Burridge, Derek Plaslaiko and has played along side Steve Lawler, Steve Bug, Damien Lazurus, M.A.N.D.Y., Tom Stephan (Superchumbo), Craig Richards and many more... Above & Beyond are crossing the Atlantic once again for their Group Therapy North America Tour - Part Two. Dates stretch from May 11th through the summer, until Labor Day Weekend, with visits to both coasts and the most preeminent festivals and clubs in the United States and Canada.

With 10,000 #GroupTherapyLA tickets sold in under two hours, and San Francisco's Warfield venue selling out in a record 12 minutes, Group Therapy North America Tour - Part Two has established itself as one of the most highly anticipated tours of the summer.

POLE

Stefan Betke aka pole was born and raised in D�sseldorf, where he played keyboards and synthesizer in different band projects. It was in Cologne that Betke began work on his acclaimed and influential trilogy "1", "2" and "3", completing it in Berlin after moving there in 1996. He released the trilogy as pole between 1998 and 2000. During this time, he also became a mastering engineer for vinyl and CD at Dubplates & Mastering. In 1999, Stefan and Barbara Preisinger started their label �scape, which became an imprint for unique and outstanding electronic music made by artists such as Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Kit Clayton, pole and many more. The same year Stefan Betke left Dubplates & Mastering to open up his own studio for cd and vinylpre-mastering called scape mastering.

After releasing two 12 inches and an album on Daniel Miller�s famous Mute label, his well respected solo album �Steingarten� came out on �scape in 2007, supported by worldwide concerts at festivals and in clubs in UK, Japan, USA and Europe. In mid 2008, Betke re-issued his earlier trilogy as a triple box set on �scape to keep this milestone in electronic bass music available.

While Stefan was continuing to play live shows around the globe as well as produce electronic music and remix artists, he and Barbara were still running the label �scape on which the critically acclaimed "Round Black Ghosts" compilations were released in 2008 and 2009: two collections of tracks that blur the line between dubstep and techno. At the same time he co-organized Unsound Festival�s �Connections� project in Minsk, where artists from Europe, including Pinch, Kadebostan, Jacek Sienkiewicz, pole and more collaborated for one week with local Belarusian artists. This project ended in a CD release called �Connections�. Since then, Betke has been asked regularly to share his knowledge with students and musicians/producers in workshops at festivals and universities, such as Mutek/ Montreal, Unsound/Krakau, Merz Academie/Stuttgart, AKG Scholarship of Sound/Berlin, just to name a few.

While Stefan Betke was expanding his musical output, he still was doing mastering for renowned producers such as Richie Hawtin, Daniel Bell, Norm Tally, Scott Furgeson, Delano Smith, Josh T.
Pearson, Erasure, Apparat, Grinderman, Gudrun Gut, Thomas Fehlmann, The Mole, Mathew Jonson and various labels such as Mute, Third Ear, Minus, Wagon Repair, Leaf and many more. So it became a logical step that in 2009 he bought a Neumann VMS 70 cutting lathe to again offer vinyl mastering for producers in club and electronic music .

Recently, pole�s live sets developed into a funky and grooving dance floor direction presented in clubs like Fabric/London, Watergate/Berlin and The Bunker/New York CIty, as well as festivals like Bestival/Isle of White, Bloc Festival/UK and Mutek/Montreal, while maintaining the pole sound design and creativity for his record releases. A series of 12� is planned for the 2nd half of 2011 and 1st half of 2012, beginning with a 3 track EP on his new artist label �pole� in October 2011, and a digital re issue of his full back cataloque. These forthcoming releases will reconnect pole�s latest sound visions with his earlier work on the edge between electronic club music, urban dub and avantgarde, the sound for which pole was always well known and respected!

Who is Tone Of Arc? Producer Dead Seal AKA Derrick Boyd with his vocalist and partner Zoe Presnick are responsible for creating a space in music rarely explored in the house and pop scene. Both life long musicians, combining live instruments like guitar, bass, and alluring vocals, it's clearly an understatement to think talent and passion ever fall in short supply for these two. Tone of Arc have been working just over a year and a half on an album releases for mid 2012 on No.19 Music, a record label out of Toronto owned by Jonny White of Art Department and NItin Kalyan. Besides being recently charted on Maceo Plex's top 5 for "Ones To Watch for in 2012," they have been charted by other respected talents such as Alex Niggemen, David Squillace, Art Department and many more. It is of our intension to make music that inspires all walks of life though till the time it is no longer needed. However long that is it will not be forgotten. Bringing it all together and using every element possible in a classy, fun, and familiar way, Tone of Arc collects all major inspirations of music most familiar being punk, rock, jazz/blues, pop, 80's, disco, house and soul. Each song telling a story and produced with all the right math behind clear intensions of a greater tomorrow lead by greater people. We are extremely excited to release a life time of musical evolution and a solid year and a half of nonstop production in making the next new sound standing in the clear of it's own path. ADNAN SHARIF

Son of Palestinians, Brazilian-born, Adnan Sharif immigrated to the USA in 1987 and found a new home in the city of San Francisco. His DJ career started in 1995 and his first Gig was at the Legendary "The Gathering" in the San Francisco Bay Area. His musical styles include all genres of House music ranging from Deep to tech to Minimal. Presently Adnan Sharif is the resident dj and promoter of Forward, A monthly that takes place in Underground Locations and Clubs in SF.

Label Affiliations: Smoke 'n Mirrors, Uniting Souls Music, Area Sur Records, PR2 Recordings, Temple Music Group, Tarantic Records, Jah Love Recordings, Survival Sounds, Care Recordings

He had shared the turntables with Top DJs, to name a few: Dixon, Abe Duque, Tanner Ross, Droog, Justin Martin, Claude VonStroke, Hot Chip, Doc Martin, Jay TripWire, Terry Francis, Grant Dell, Mark Farina, Renato Ratier, Renato Lopez, Mau Mau, Luis Nieva, Miguel Silver, Jeno, Garth, Solar, Galen, Lance Desardi.

He has played at internationally renowned parties, to name a few: Beijing (China), D-Edge (Brazil), Warung (Brazil), Cozumel Club (Brazil), ACA World Sound Festival, World Social Forum, Fulltronic Rave, Red Noise (Venezuela), WMC, Omni Am (Chicago), Come~Unity, Spundae, Bulletproof Boat Party, Power to the Peaceful Festival.

In late 2000 Adnan Sharif began his journey into music production.

On Monday, April 23rd, the Anujunabeats Worldwide compilation series will continue its tradition of showcasing the brightest new world-class talent with Anjunabeats Worldwide 04, mixed by Israel�s Maor Levi and Poland�s Nitrous Oxide.

The Anjunabeats Worldwide compilations are a way for Anjunabeats to highlight the rising stars of the electronic music world. Previous editions have served as a springboard for the famous Finns Super8 & Tab, Russian superstar Arty and the effervescent and eclectic Mat Zo.

Maor Levi, the maestro behind CD1, burst onto the scene as a precocious 16-year old with �Lital� in 2006, and has since matured into a key part of the Anjunabeats family, as well as producing techno and house for Mark Knight's Toolroom as 123XYZ. 2012 sees Maor at the very top of his game following a run of releases and remixes that have graced the sets of DJs like Above & Beyond, Mark Knight, Tiesto and Fatboy Slim.

Given his very real grasp of cross genre dance music, Maor's mix is an exciting hybrid of multiple influences. It includes Mat Zo�s �It�s Yours� (an homage to the house classic by Jon Cutler and E-Man), as well as unreleased material from current Anjunabeats stars Norin & Rad and Genix. Also featured is an exclusive 2012 Maor Levi remix of Super8 & Tab�s Anjunabeats classic �Alba.�

CD2 is mixed by Nitrous Oxide, aka Krzysztof Pretkiewicz, who is responsible for countless Anjunabeats classics such as �North Pole,� �Downforce,� and the recent �iPeople.� Krzysztof represents forward-thinking, energized dance music at its best, and the mix has many of his personal productions, including the forthcoming single �Tiburon� and his collaboration with Space RockerZ �Energize.� The mix also contains tracks and remixes from the likes of Super8 & Tab, Andrew Bayer, Boom Jinx & Daniel Kandi and Ost & Meyer. Like CD1, many of these are exclusive to this compilation.

To provide a brief history lesson: In the 19th century, ballroom dancing was deemed "the work of the devil". In the 1920�s, New York City enacted the Cabaret Law to stem interracial dancing from Harlem Jazz Clubs. The 1930�s had Nazi Germany quashing Swing Dancing because it was considered anarchistic. And in 2006, a New York State Supreme Court ruled that, unlike music, theater and painting, dance is not a constitutionally protected form of expression.

We acknowledge dance as a communicative, social form of expression. We come together in order to promote dance as an expressive and unifying art form by showcasing all forms of dance, educating the general public about the opportunities to experience dance, and celebrating diversity of dance in New York City by sponsoring a yearly city-wide dance parade and dance festival.

This annual event works to promote ALL forms of dance, support it's artistic expression, educate the public about its diversity and to celebrate every year in a parade down Broadway with a Festival. We invite all those, both local and abroad, to join live bands, DJs and colorful floats to celebrate over 50 genres of dance! Everything from ballet to breakdance.

The parade will start between 22nd and 21st Street between Park Ave and 5th Ave, and continue down Broadway in history of dance order. At 8th St, the parade will head east into St. Mark's Place and finish at Tompkins Square Park, in the heart of East Village. It will be there when we will continue to boogie down to the sounds of house, disco, and techno.
