Chris Walsh has been a club veteran since the age of 16. Growing up in Chicago at an ideal time, Chris had the privilege of attending Chicago's legendary Medusa's nightclub. It was at Medusa's where Chris' dance music tastes were formed. The late 80's were a great time for music in Chicago and Medusa's was the place to hear new dance music first. From the industrial sounds of Chicago's
Wax Trax label (Ministry, Revolting Cocks and Front 242) to the early House sounds being released on such seminal Chicago labels as DJ International and Trax, Chicago was creating the blueprint for the soundtrack of global dance music culture.
Most recently Chris has set his sights back on the recording studio. He has teamed up with engineer Jeremy Coutre, and together they have formed Sangamon Studios. Recently they have put out remixes of Stella Nova's Quiet Nights on Uncommon Chill and Hipservice's Badaboom Badabing on Therapy. Chris and Jeremy have also put out two bootlegs. The first track is called Life originally by Hole in One, and the other is God Put A Smile On My Face by Coldplay. Both have reached the dance floors and club charts of DJ's such as Dave Seaman, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, and Dave Ralph.
