Pulz-8 started Djing in 1992 and made his first appearances behind the decks in and around his hometown of Chicago. He has since made a name for himself as Pulz-8 with DJ gigs as well as live p.a. performances around the United States including his 6 years at Exit nightclub along with a weekly residency for the original Lunacy Wednesdays at Chicago's famed Crobar Nightclub from '96 through '99.

In 1996 he was recruited as the keyboard player for the band WOD....a local Chicago industrial outfit that made a lot of noise (literally) throughout the midwest. the band toured and played tirelessly for the next 2 years serving as openers for many well known industrial and electronic acts such as Sister Machine Gun, Lords of Acid, Cirrus, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Sheep On Drugs, and Chi-town favorites 13MG to name a few.

As a DJ, his other residencies as well as guest sets include such Chicago hot-spots as Gotham, Karma, Neo, Vision, Spybar, Sonotheque, Smartbar, Soundbar and practicaly every other major venue in chicago. He has played alongside international DJ superstars such as Carl Cox, Christian Smith, Renato Cohen, Mistress Barbara, Monk from Rabbit In The Moon, Junkie XL, Pete Bones and Doc Martin at venues all across the U.S. from Miami's Winter Music Conference to the Los Angeles Art and Music Festival.

In mid 2003, He teamed up with miami producer/dj Kirill and recorded a track for Kirill's label "Project Cuba". Under the alias "Kirill vs. The Surrogate", they released their remix of "Cuban E-Fusion" from the Cuban Band "Sin Palabras". This record was well received by djs in both chicago (for it's deep chicago-style bassline) as well as Miami (for it's afro-cuban flare) and features live "Yoruba" vocals and amazing percussion from members of "Sin Palabras" themselves. The single found it's way onto Chris Fortier's Balance promote Group chart that September and into the sets of djs all across the globe.

In March of 2005, Pulz-8 launched 8-Trax Recordings. This is a record label designed as a vehicle for his original productions featuring remixes by some of chicago's finest producers. 2006-07 saw the follow-up to the debut release (posted above) on 8-Trax entitled "red eyes open" featuring remixes by Nosmo and Andre Solaris of XM Radio. A lot of time in '06 was spent laying low and workin hard in the studio. Getting back to his industrial roots Pulz-8 collaborated with legendary Chicago DJ Jeff Moyer and Chris Randall (of Sister Machine Gun) to release the WTII (Wax Trax II) 5th year anniversary CD compilation. This release features some of the more influential industrial acts of the last few years! Check http://www.8-trax.com/ for more info.
